Canvas is the source of truth

Chief can be late or wrong, for example when a professor never puts something in the Canvas calendar. Check Canvas before you count on a date. Chief is not responsible for missed work.

Your schoolwork is yours

Chief helps you plan and study. It won't write work you turn in, and you are responsible for following your courses' rules on AI.
